I’m Gareth, a Speech Pathologist. I live in Ballarat, in sunny western Victoria.

I specialise in helping adults and adolescents with communication and swallowing difficulties, two areas I’m very passionate about. But these aren’t just functional processes. They’re deeply tied to our quality of life and who we are as individuals. 

Communication is often taken for granted, yet it’s incredibly complex and personal. The way we speak, sound, choose words, listen and communicate--this all shapes how people see us. It enables us to engage and interact with the world around us–forming relationships, connections and supporting our day-to-day function.

Swallowing sustains us at the most basic level, putting food and fluid into our bodies, allowing us to live as fully as we can.The foods we love reflect our culture, our destinations and our story.  Eating and drinking sparks memories, brings joy, and creates powerful connections. It unifies us. 

I want to help people who face challenges with communication and swallowing–because they’re both deeply central to being human. I’ve worked in hospitals, rehab centres, aged care facilities, palliative care, private practices, and the criminal justice system. Every person’s story is unique, and every challenge deserves care, respect, and understanding.

I work with you to help make communication and swallowing easier, so you can live with more confidence, connection, and quality of life.
