Speech ๐Ÿ‘„๐Ÿ—จ๏ธ

โ€ข Speech is how we move the lips, tongue, jaw, and mouth to make sounds.
โ€ข If muscles are weak or not working, speech might be:

- ๐Ÿค” hard to understand.

Voice ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿซ

โ€ข Voice is the sound from your voice box (larynx).
โ€ข We use our voice to:
- ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ talk.
- ๐Ÿ˜‚ laugh.
- ๐Ÿ“ข shout.
- ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ sigh.
โ€ข Problems with your voice may need a doctor (ENT).

Cognitive Communication ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’ฌ

โ€ขCognitive communication is how our thinking skills help us communicate.
This includes:
- ๐Ÿงพ memory.
- ๐Ÿ‘€ attention.
- ๐Ÿ“‚ organisation.
- ๐Ÿงฉ problem solving.
โ€ข If affected, it can be hard to remember, follow conversations, or share ideas.

Social Communication ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ˜Š

โ€ข Social communication is how we use words, tone, and body language with others.
- ๐Ÿ”„ taking turns.
- ๐Ÿ“Œ staying on topic.
- ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ™ƒ understanding jokes or sarcasm.
โ€ข Problems can cause confusion or misunderstandings.

Dysphagia ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ๐Ÿฅค

โ€ข Dysphagia means difficulty swallowing food, drinks, or saliva.
This may cause:
- ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ coughing.
- ๐Ÿšซ choking.
- โฌ‡๏ธ food going the wrong way.
โ€ข It can affect nutrition, safety, and health.

Feeding / Cognitive Feeding Behaviours ๐Ÿด๐Ÿง 

โ€ข Feeding means using thinking and movement skills to eat and drink.
Difficulties may include:
- ๐Ÿดusing cutlery.
- ๐Ÿ“ remembering steps.
- ๐Ÿ”„ coordinating actions.
